The Ucluelet Skatepark is getting a makeover! The existing skatepark will be expanded to include more street‑style features. The Ucluelet Skatepark Expansion Project was approved by Council and construction commenced on April 13, 2026 with completion expected by May/June 2026.
The contract was awarded to Radius Contracting Ltd and the plan can be found on the District’s website here.
Design Workshops
Thank you so much to everyone who came to the SkatePark Expansion Design Workshop on February 25, 2026. It was great to see so many people involved in the future planning of a great community resource!
On Monday March 24, 2026 Radius Skatepark design hosted their second workshop to share the design for the new Ucluelet skatepark expansion.
We were so pleased to see over 30 participants come out to give their views and opinions on the new skatepark design! Thank you to everyone who attended, we are stoked to see the expansion taking shape!
Check out some of the 3D renderings of the design presented at the open house and current construction on the right hand side of the page.
Updates- May 1
The full skatepark will be closed as of Monday, April 13, 2026 for the Skatepark Expansion Project.
The closure will last approximately 4 weeks. If safe to do so, crews may open sections later on in the build for public use. This information will be shared when it becomes available.
Thank you for your patience as we work toward this exciting addition to Ucluelet's skate infrastructure!
